RoofSafe Anchor - Deadweight
The Uniline Deadweight Anchor System is a unique safety product. It offers both fall arrest and work restraint capabilities using a series of weights joined to a central plate and anchorage point. The anchors are designed to be placed on an approved roofing surface and in the event of a fall use their counter weight to arrest a worker. As they are not fixed to the roof, the anchors move when loaded and therefore it is extremely important that attention is paid to the precautions and exclusions for use.
The anchors can also be used as part of a more comprehensive safety system, incorporating either a Uni-8 or Uni-16 horizontal cable safety system. In this case the user can attach to the cable with a Unigrab allowing the user to move along the system and intermediate brackets without interruption.
This provides a practical hands free solution for larger roof areas, where roof penetrations are not desirable. When using the Deadweight Anchors in conjunction with a cable system, Uniline’s normal rules regarding system designs apply and all system designs should be calculated. The product is designed to provide a facility to enable safe working at heights in accordance with current regulations and safe access to a variety of otherwise dangerous situations, or to restrain personnel from putting themselves at risk
